THE BEGINNING OF ME ACTUALLY PUTTING MY OWN WORDS INTO THIS BLOG
Elated and relieved, yet sad and deflated
1-30-10
Since May 31, 2009, when Scott shot and killed Dr. George Tiller, the late-term abortionist in Wichita, Kansas, life has been very overwhelming, frustrating, maddening, and even scary at times. Hopefully, this will provide a safe outlet to release.
Over the past two days, 140 potential jurors responded to summonses and filled out pre-trial questionnaires for Scott Roeder's trial next week.
Sedgwick County District Judge Warren Wilbert's office said today that a group of 61 are expected to report to the courthouse Monday for further questioning by lawyers.
About 300 summonses were mailed out. It's common for not all to respond because people change addresses, or move out of the county.
Roeder, 51, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller in his church lobby on May 31. Roeder also is charged with two counts of aggravated assault on two men at the church who said he pointed a gun at them as he fled.
The case is expected to receive national news coverage, and preparations have begun for a media workroom and to provide video and audio feeds.
A final pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Friday.

Amazing how well he cleans up now that he is popular with the Taliban leaders of the Pro-Life movement. Keep 'em pregnant and barefooted. Lucky his family (especially those that were female) got away from him before he went crazy.

...(Not that they would have seated me on this panel, anyway. I'm sure my history would probably render me unsuitable for this type of case.)
that just begs the question of 'what history'?
I don't think his 'defense of babies' defense is going to fly either since he killed Tiller in a church and, presumably, no abortion was being performed at that time.
I'm certainly not inclined to shirk my civic duty by ducking jury duty. But, frankly, I'm sure glad I didn't get called up for this one. (Not that they would have seated me on this panel, anyway. I'm sure my history would probably render me unsuitable for this type of case.)
Another case of wasteing tax money., just ask the jury, guilty or inocent. I'll bet 100% would say Guilty, hell he admited to pulling the triger of the gun that KILLED an inocent man. A man performing his duty at church, and for doing his legal practice earning a liveing, granting the desires of his patients. If you didn't like what he did then don't get in that situation and don't go to a dr such as he..It's like Porno, if you don't agree and don't like the stuff then stay out of the stores. They are legal.
If you don't like Booze don't go into the Booze store, they are legal too..just because things are against YOUR beliefs don't make it wrong. Give him the needle..no that's too good, stone him.
